Making a Difference

Chorley Guardian

Project Feed Chorley was launched to raise the £20,000 to build a new food bank in the car park at the Living Waters Church.

The new food bank was needed urgently to replace the church’s food bank in a damp, cramped basement

The campaign launched with support from the local community radio station and Chorley Football Club, telling the stories of the people who need the food bank and the volunteers who staff it.

Originally envisaged as a six-month appeal, the money was raised in just over a month as the donations, both food and money, poured in.
